I decided to change my character from a bear or panda to be a fox now as I think the fox would be more likely to walk through a city past buildings or get into buildings like a pottery factory where it shouldn't be. I think this makes more sense and looks a bit more though out.

I began to look at different fox illustrations to see what sort of illustration style to use. 

I then began experimenting using card in block shapes to see what the backgrounds might look like.

I found that this looked really good and that an idea to use block bright colours would look really effective. However this was time consuming and didn't looked polished enough so I decided that it would be quicker, more detailed and easier to use illustrator to create these background images instead.

I then did a background of the bear to look like he was walking through a pottery factory as I thought that was quite a quirky background idea.

I then decided to have a background of the bear walking through a supermarket to have him walk past the vegetable isle along side some carrots, again I thought this was quite a quirky idea and would like to illustrate the carrots would look good too. 

Lastly I decided to have the final background of the bear in 'Paradise' so I wanted to do a background of a wildflower open area with overgrown grass to show the bear belongs in the wild as opposed to a to anywhere else which is why I will start the animation off with the bear walking in front of buildings.

I decided not to use the walk cycle from the side view as I thought from research that

the walk cycle view looking/walking towards the screen looked a lot better and would suit the style of

my animation better.

First I began designing backgrounds for my animation I wanted to have 4 different backgrounds of different places, first one to be of buildings in the background.

I want to keep the backgrounds quote plain and simple, so just use of block colours no gradients or shadows I think this will give a good effect.

This is the beginning of the character I want walking behind the Paradise text in my animation this is to symbolize the bear or pandas paradise is where the animal belongs not in captivity.

So behind the text I will also include some of the natural features such as trees and flowers that would be in the animals normal habitat.

This is just the basic outline of what the bear is going to look like I'm going to include more detail when the animation is being made.

I have been experimenting with colour palettes on what to use for my animation.

I looking through various colours I have and decided that I would like to use white paper for the background with pastel colours on top with some black outlining for text and image.

I did wish to use brown paper/card but unless I used paint this wouldn't show up on the card very well

and also would be very time consuming.

I have decided to use crayons some paint and and fine liners to create this animation.

My sound bite is going to be the Coldplay Paradise song I wish to use this song as I really like the song and think it would be a really good song to illustrate I would like to use Typography 

as a big part of my animation I wish for the title Paradise to be illustrated and grow in size throughout the animation, with flowers and grass growing beside and in front of the text.

Then in the background I want a bear like figure walking behind the text either a panda or a bear with 

human like features of how the bear walks.

I have also decided to change my method for how to animate my animation instead of using a flip book as previously I wanted to I have decided to use a hand drawn animation.

I would lie to have two or three flip-books being played together at the same time

either one follows on from the second or both being played together in a joint story being told or the story using both and having a item flip from one to another for example a ball being thrown from one book to another.

I have also looked at sizing for my flip books 

 

This size is slightly to big there is a lot of room for the drawing however it is difficult to flip.

This size is easier to flip however this size doesn't allow much space for drawing at all a size in between these sizes would be the best size for me to use.
